"... where INDEPENDENT artists shine!"

With religion being such a multifaceted entity, changes and evolution of such are inevitable. However, I have come to notice one of the most perplexing and widespread habits in religion is the understanding of transgressions otherwise know as sin. There is perceived notion that sin has a weight distribution and with that weight distribution we have assigned our own penalty and judgment.

I have my own theory of why this has come to be but I look to my peers for enlightenment on the matter.

What/Who has given us such a supreme position of survey in that we are capable of determining which sin—though all according to Biblical text are viewed the same, is the most severe and/or should garner different degrees of persecution?

I believe everyone has visited here 3 to 4 times and wrote a note for themselves to return when thoughts compute an answer worthy of unknown eyes viewing for mistakes and concept errors or the simple flaws in religious doctrines. This is probably my 8th visit so I sit here trying to remember what I told myself to write here when I out thinking about the question. Can't remember my exact conversation with me so I'll start. A sin is a sin there should be no units to measure degrees or servility, no gage to check the indentation left on souls hurt in the process. Be that as it may if you believe in God and sins and such you should know humans have a hard time with that forgiving thing but God doesn't. According to Biblical text all sins can be forgiven if you just ask.... Than you for the hard A-- question and keep us focused here on growing bigger brains with more intellect because everybody needs it if you post and expect answers to.... Keep the challenge alive scriber whose pen I love... Thank you always for sharing...

When it comes to weighing sins hey it is all human perception, whether we admit to it or not we all do it, I'll give an example: The average person is going to react differently to someone lying to him/her like if someone lied to lets say the viewer who is reading this passage(you) the typical reaction would be slight anger or dissapointment now if someone slains your child or a dear sweet relative then everything goes out the window it is like F' it somebody is going to die for killing my loved one (something kind of like capitol punishment). Everything is perception and humans are creatures of weighing and balancing, we do it through out our whole lives. Another example: Alcohol is considered a drug but it is more socially acceptable than say marijuana and one reason is because alcohol is legal and marijuana isnt but they are both drugs. The ladder just keeps trickling down on the chain of social deviants so lets use marijuana vs. crack cocaine. Marijuana is made popular by hip hop songs and the nastalgic era of the hippie movement, marijuana like crack cocaine is illegal but since crack isnt as popular as marijunana, crack gets more of a bad rap and that is due to the societal factors that come with it like the stealing, robbing, poverty, and prostitution. I know the biblical text indicates that a sin is a sin but as humans we often ignore religious dogma.

i use to believe that certain sins carried more penatilites than others but all sins are equal no one sin is greater than another it brings me to the jesus at the cross one man to the left one man to the right of him one a thief one comited murder jesus whould have forgiven the other man if he had of believed that jesus was the son of God 2 different sins neither was greater than the other the one that comited murder ask jesus to remember him when he get to the kindom and jesus told him this day you should be with me in paradise,

When I find myself guilty of this or in witness of it, I’ve had to take myself back to the basics. If we so earnestly believe in HIM as much as we proclaim, this is something that we shouldn’t find ourselves in the company of. We would be able to allow HIM to reign supreme thus protecting us from such behavior as well as ourselves. It’s called GRACE.

None of us are perfect and its for this reason that I believe, Sin is viewed equivalently (no matter the technicality or effectiveness it has on another), in the eyes of God, (for lack of a better word) as wrong and therefore penalized through The Word of His majesty’s own privileged verdict, not ours. If so, we may as well dance with the wolves because all of us at one time or another have been just as much—if not more erroneous students than unspoiled teachers.

To give varying weight to our transgressions and those of our peers is about as backwards as the opposite of forgive us for trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

How much sense does that make? If we are able to look upon one another, (never mind the arrogance in judgment that this carries) place value on each of the driven nails while being the flawed yet meek sheep that we are, then I suppose some of us faithful Christians really don’t need HIM at all…do we?

Food for thought…and a little self-check (if you will)

My inquisitiveness and self-challenge brings me closer and closer to understanding it all.
